Countless names of great tennis players have emerged of the years, with each one being associated with a great gameplay or an unforgettable match with an opponent. However, the success stories in the world of tennis would not be possible if it weren’t for the help of the great tennis coaches who not only guided tennis players in their training but also helped in formulating strategies that could help in winning a match.

Marcos Baghdatis, Grigor Dimitrov, Yanina Wickmayer, Jeremy Chardy, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, and Laura Robson. These are just some of the players who received guidance from Patrick Mouratoglou, who not only acted as a tennis coach but also as a tennis analyst.

Since 2012, Mouratoglou has been mentoring Serena Williams, helping her in bagging Grand Slam titles despite the challenge posed by her age. Their collaboration would prove to be fruitful, with Williams earning 10 Grand Slams, an Olympic gold medal, and 3 WTA Final Championships. With such achievement, it’s not surprising that most tennis players would want to be coached by Patrick Mouratoglou.

Martina Navratilova would not have become a legend without the help of Mike Estep. Mike Estep also played tennis and won several titles before he took up coaching. Aside from Navratilova, the man helped other well-known players, such as Jana Novotna, Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, and Hana Mandikova, to rise in their career. Estep played a great part in the 10 out of 18 Grand Slam Singles won by Navratilova.

Andre Agassi won six Grand Slams with the help of Brad Gilbert, who also wrote Winning Ugly, a highly recommended coaching manual. After coaching Agassi, Gilbert worked with Andy Roddick and helped him won his sole Grand Slam title and Andy Murray, who became a well-known player in the UK. Over the years, Gilbert would help other players, such as Kei Nishikori and Sam Querrey, in improving their performance inside the court.

Nick Bollettieri is already a pillar in the world of tennis. A number of players have been under his tutelage, and even other coaches only have utter respect for him. Famous World Number 1 players, including Andre Agassi, Marcelo Rios, Jim Courier, and Monica Seles, once played with his guidance, whereas legends like Serena and Venus Williams, Mary Pierce, and Maria Sharapova, won Grand Slam titles. Aside from being an inductee in the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Nick Bolliettieri authored a book titled, Tennis Handbook, which provides worthwhile information to players and coaches, offering wisdom on tactics, strategy, and mental conditioning when training for tennis.
